SMAU 2024: Angelini Industries wins the “SMAU Innovation” Award

Angelini Industries was one of the key players attending SMAU Milan, the reference event in Italy for innovation, the future of businesses, and startups, held on October 29th and 30th at MiCo - Milan.

Two days full of networking sessions, workshops and round tables on digital transformation and emerging technologies with the related challenges and opportunities, attended by the Angelini Industries Innovation Team, with the participation of colleagues from the Group's operating companies, Angelini Pharma and Angelini Ventures.

Stefano Brandinali, Group Chief Innovation Officer of Angelini Industries, was speaker at the opening event of the exhibition, attending the round table titled “Innovation comes from anywhere”. Under the spotlight, the results of an innovation journey that has evolved over the years and has changed in relation to the ever-new needs of society and companies that increasingly integrate Artificial Intelligence into their operational processes.

The Group had the opportunity to share some of the best practices implemented in the field of innovation also in the Live Show “New platforms: Artificial Intelligence at the service of employees and consumers,” with Artem Ugarov, Data & Analytics Solution Manager of Angelini Industries, who talked about the AskAI project carried out by the Group.

AskAI was the winner of the “SMAU Innovation Award” which Carlo Torniai, Group Chief Data Analytics Officer, accepted on behalf of the Angelini Industries Innovation Team. The award is motivated by “for the Group's ability to embrace the opportunities of generative artificial intelligence” developing a project for its integration within the company's processes that makes a conversational interface available to all employees, to support their daily activities and increase their productivity and effectiveness.

Attending SMAU event was also a great opportunity for the Group to take part in two Startup Safari Tours, four working tables and training workshops on topics related to the role of innovation in fields such as sustainability, health, and organization.
